LICENSING ACT 2003 - DRAFT STATEMENT OF LICENSING POLICY (A report by Fiona White, Licensing & Land Charges Manager) Additional documents:
Minutes: The Licensing Authority was required, every 5 years, to consult on and publish a statement setting out its policy for the exercise of its functions under the Licensing Act 2003 for the sale of alcohol and the provision of regulated entertainment and late night refreshment with a view to promoting the licensing objectives of:
The initial draft Statement of Licensing Policy was considered by the Licensing Committee on 11 August 2020 and the Committee agreed that public consultation be undertaken.
A summary of the consultation responses was attached at Appendix A. The draft statement had been amended in the light of the responses and the revised draft was attached to the report at Appendix B.
The Licensing and Land Charges Manager went through the responses and then asked the Committee to approve the amendments as set out in the report and resolve to recommend the adoption of the revised draft statement by Full Council on 23 November.
The Committee reviewed the responses from the public consultation and fully supported the submission of the revised draft statement to Full Council.
RESOLVED: That the final draft Statement of Licensing Policy, as set out at Appendix B to the report, be presented to Full Council on 23 November 2020 with the recommendation that it be adopted.
