Decision:
1. To authorise the Assistant Director
Regulatory to commence consultation with staff on the proposed
service review and to delegate to the Assistant Director Regulatory
in consultation with the Portfolio Holders, authority to determine
and implement the final structure taking account of consultation
responses.
2. To approve the placing of the specified BBC posts at the
disposal of South Holland District Council (SHDC) and East Lindsey
District Council (ELDC) and to accept the placing of specified SHDC
and ELDC posts at the disposal of this Council in accordance with
Section 113 of the Local Government Act 1972.
Reasons for the decision:
- To deliver the aspirations of the South and
East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership Business Case and Memorandum
of Agreement.
- To deliver the action for a Regulatory Service Review in the
Partnership Alignment and Delivery Plan 24/25.
- To increase resilience and capacity for all Partnership
Councils.
- To work towards a single approach for the delivery of these core
services for the Partnership.
- To deliver savings towards the Council’s efficiency
target.
Alternative options considered:
Do nothing – It should be noted however
that Members have already supported the principle of alignment via
the Partnership Business Case and Alignment and Delivery Plan
24/25.
