Decision:

That under Section 113 of the Local Government Act 1972 the Food, Health and Safety Officer employed by South Holland District Council be temporarily placed for the period up to 1st October 2026 at the disposal of Boston Borough Council for the purpose of its health and safety (environmental health) and Safety Advisory Group functions.

Reasons for the decision:

This temporary shared post provides health and safety support for Environmental Health at Boston Borough Council, to assist in fulfilling its statutory obligations.

The post will also support and chair the combined South Holland and Boston Safety Advisory Group.

Alternative options considered:

External support such as agency or contractor. Do nothing.
