Decision:
To authorise the relevant Assistant Directors
to commence consultation with employees on the proposed Well-Being
and Community Leadership, Leisure and Culture, Neighbourhoods,
Information Governance & Legal and General Fund Assets Service
Reviews.
To delegate to the relevant Assistant Directors, in consultation
with their Portfolio Holder(s), authority to determine and
implement final structures that take account of consultation
responses.
To approve the placing of specified Boston Borough Council post
holders at the disposal of East Lindsey District Council and South
Holland District Council and to accept the placing of specified
East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council
post holders at the disposal of this Council in accordance with
Section 113 of the Local Government Act 1972.
Reasons for the decision:
1. To deliver the aspirations of the South and
East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership Business Case.
2. To deliver service review actions identified in the Partnership
Alignment and Delivery Plan 24/25.
3. To create a single approach to the delivery of services where it
is efficient and effective to do so.
4. To achieve financial savings for the Councils within the
Partnership.
5. To increase resilience and capacity for all Partnership
Councils.
6. To create development opportunities for the existing officer
cohort.
Alternative options considered:
Do nothing – however, Members have
already supported the principle of aligning functions via the
Partnership Business Case and Annual Delivery Plan.
