To appoint the Transport Manager at Boston
Borough Council and South Holland District Council on a shared
basis.
Reasons for the decision:
To ensure compliance with the Operator Licence
at South Holland District Council and Boston Borough Council.
To ensure compliance with all matters required by the Traffic
Commissioner.
To ensure the effective and continuous management of the
organisations transport activities, at South Holland District
Council, and Boston Borough Council, on an interim basis, until
recruitment and training enables greater service resilience.
To ensure compliance with the duty of a Waste Collection Authority
pursuant to section 45 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to
arrange for the collection of household waste.
Alternative options considered:
Appointment of an external transport manager
was considered and rejected due to the availability of competency
within a partner Council.
