To enter a Memorandum of Understanding with
the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government in
respect of funding for Local Supported Housing Strategies
Reasons for the decision:
Signing the MOU and accepting the funding of
£43,846 will help resource the production of a supported
housing needs assessment and Local Supported Housing Strategy as
required by the Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act
2023.
Alternative options considered:
Not to sign the MOU and accept the funding
would mean that the authority had to resource the development of
the Local Supported Housing Strategy and production of a supported
housing needs assessment fully itself which given the offer of
funding would not seem prudent.
